The Ogun state government has organised a day programme to train the traditional birth attendant in order to ensure standard practice among them and to teach them some standard and more professional ways of handling child deliveries
This announcement was made by the commissioner of health, Dr. Tomi Coker.
The commissioner saidd that this training is to enhance the professionalism of the TBAs and it would also improve and bring about efficient development of Ogun health sector.
This training will take palce in June 12, 2021 at the cultural centre, Abeokuta.
She made it known that the abiodun-led administration will provide necessary logistics and procedures at standardizing the practice of the Alternate medicine practitioners in Ogun state.
The chairman of the state medicine board, Dr. Balogun Nurudeen beseech the governor of Ogun to equip the traditional practitioners with necessary skills so as to enable them to meet up with the best global practice.
The government of Ogun state should make provisions for modern technology and other important logistics that would lead to the effective and efficient operation of the board" He said.
